Rules & Guidelines
The standards every player, team and community member agrees to when joining UBN events
1. Conduct
- Treat all players, staff, casters and viewers with respect. Harassment, hate speech, discrimination, threats and doxxing are not tolerated.
- No toxic behaviour in match chat, voice, Discord or on social media while representing UBN or an event.
- Do not impersonate staff, players or teams.
2. Eligibility & Registration
- Players must register with accurate in-game names and contact details.
- Each player may only play on one team per tournament unless the event rules say otherwise.
- Region, roster size and any other requirements are listed on each tournament's page and in its announcement. Event-specific rules override these general rules.
- Players must follow the age and eligibility requirements of the game and the event.
3. Matches
- Check-in: teams must check in during the announced check-in window. Teams that miss it may be disqualified or replaced.
- Punctuality: be ready at the scheduled match time. Late teams may forfeit a map or the match, at staff discretion.
- Maps and room details: these are announced by staff. Do not share room codes or passwords outside your team.
- Disconnects: report them to staff immediately. Pauses and restarts are decided by staff.
- Results: screenshots or recordings of final scores may be required. Keep evidence until the match is confirmed.
4. Fair Play
- Cheating of any kind is banned, including hacks, scripts, macros, ghosting, stream sniping, exploiting bugs and match fixing.
- Do not use alternate accounts, account sharing or stand-ins that haven't been approved by staff.
- Players must cooperate with staff investigations and provide requested evidence.
- Saw a violation? Use Report a Player with the player's in-game name, the match and your evidence.
5. Penalties & Staff Decisions
- Depending on severity, penalties may include a warning, map or match forfeit, disqualification, removal of prizes or placements, and bans from future UBN events.
- Teams are responsible for the conduct of their players, coaches and substitutes.
- UBN staff make the final decision on rulings and disputes. Appeals can be raised through Contact Staff and will be reviewed fairly.
- Rules may be updated at any time. Changes are announced on our Discord.
These are general guidelines. Each tournament may publish additional or different rules. Where they conflict, the event's own rules apply.
